Wakefield, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A recent traffic stop for speeding in the western U.P. resulted in the arrest of one man on a series of charges.
State Police at the Wakefield Post say a Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding late last month on M-28 in Wakefield and arrested the driver, 20-year-old Anthony Mrdjenovich of Ashland, Wisconsin, after the vehicle he was driving was found to be stolen from Dulles, Virginia.
He was also wanted on a felony warrant for an aggravated robbery charge out of Texas, where a gas station attendant had been shot and later died.
Mrdjenovich was lodged in the Gogebic County Jail on several felony and other misdemeanor counts.
