MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post are looking for two people wanted in connection with the case of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was stolen from a supermarket parking lot in Iron River just before 9 o’clock Central time last night. Authorities received information about a possible direction of travel of the suspects and the vehicle, and it was located heading north on US-141 near Cable Lake.
Following a failed attempt to stop the vehicle, Troopers chased the vehicle north on US-141 to M-28 westbound to US-45 northbound.
Another attempt to stop the vehicle failed, but the driver lost control on US-45 in Ontonagon County near Gauthier Road, and police say two male suspects fled on foot.
A lengthy search did not locate the two suspects, and an investigation is ongoing.
