U of M Released Annual State Economic Forecast
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – University of Michigan Economists have released their annual state economic forecast.
The report states that the economic recovery in the state has been the slowest in decades, with Michigan regaining less than one-fifth of the 861,000 jobs it lost between April, 2000 and December, 2009.
It also pointed out that worker wages are behind the national average as well.
One positive note from the report was the economists estimated the state would add 111,000 jobs over the next two years.
