Police Respond to Four Vehicle Accident: Three Injured

4 car accident in IshpemingMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Ishpeming City Police responded to a four-vehicle traffic accident late yesterday afternoon that injured  three people.

The accident happened around 4:45 p.m. yesterday at US-41 and Lakeshore when a westbound 2000 Buick LeSabre, driven by a 24-year-old South Range woman, ran a red light on US-41 and struck a northbound 2000 Mazda sedan driven by a 61-year-old Ishpeming man.  The impact knocked the Buick into a 2006 Chevy Impala which was stopped at the intersection.  That vehicle then hit a 2012 Dodge Avenger.

The Chevy was driven by a 64-year-old Negaunee woman while the Dodge was driven by a 44-year-old Ishpeming woman.

Three people were taken to Bell Hospital for treatment of various injuries.  No names have been released at this time and the conditions of those injured is unknown.
