Two Arrested in Escanaba on Possible Felonious Assault Charges
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Two suspects were arrested in Delta County in connection with a felonious assault investigation.
At 1 p.m. Monday December 17, Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post were dispatched after a 9-1-1 call was made in Wells Township about an injured man attempting to walk away form the scene. The 41 year-0ld Bark River Man was located by troopers and transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital. He was treated for head injuries and release.
A 31 year-old Escanaba man was arrested after a brief foot chase when he attempted to escape police at a traffic stop. He is facing additional charges for resisting and obstructing police and narcotics violations. The second suspect, a 23 year-old Escanaba man, was arrested without incident early this morning.
The two will be arraigned in the 94th District Court of Delta County and names are being withheld until then.
UPSET officers were at the scene, along with the Escanaba Public Safety, the Delta County Sheriff’s Department and Delta County EMS. The incident remains under investigation.
