Two-Vehicle Accident in Marquette Sends One to MGH

Two-vechicle accident in Marquette MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Marquette City Police responded to a pedestrian-motor vehicle accident yesterday morning at the intersection of Third and Washington Street that sent one person to the hospital.

Police say 71-year-old Frances Knoodle of Marquette was attempting to cross Washington Street around 10:50 a.m. when she was struck by an SUV driven by 26-year-old Anthony Garrock of Marquette.

Garrock was attempting to turn left to head east on Washington when he struck the woman.  Knoodle was taken to Marquette General for treatment.

Police ticketed Garrock for failure to yield.
