National Weather Service – Storm Warning into Tomorrow
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. tomorrow for the central and eastern Upper Peninsula.
Heavy wet snow will continue through Friday morning. Snow will fall heavy at times this afternoon and tonight when snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible.
Expect a storm total snowfall of 8 to 12 inches. Winds out of the north are expected to gust between 35 and 45 mph at times late this afternoon through Friday morning resulting in areas of blowing snow and near blizzard conditions mainly near Lake Superior.
