Manistique, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Manistique man has plead guilty to murder charges in connection with the death of three people in Schoolcraft County.
47-year-old Garry Cordell plead guilty today to two counts of first degree murder and one count of felony murder as part of a plea deal in the investigation into the murder of Jody Hutchinson, Carrie Nelson and Heather Aldrich.
Their bodies were found in a burned out vehicle in April in Doyle Township.
Cordell was facing 12 felony charges in the case.
Co-defendant 46-year-old Kenneth Brunke of Manistique plead guilty recently to two lesser charges related to the case.
A third co-defendant, 28-year-old Marietta Carlson of Manistique, died of a medical condition while in police custody.
Cordell and Brunke are expected to be sentenced on December 10th.
