Calumet, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Calumet Post have released an update of their investigation into a single-vehicle fatal traffic crash.
It happened around 5:30pm Sunday on US-41 near Highway Location Road in Houghton County’s Osceola Township.
Troopers say a vehicle operated by 48-year-old Diane McCollum of Calumet crossed the center line, left the roadway, struck a tree and burst into flames.
McCollum suffered what is described as a fatal medical event, causing the accident.
She was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
