Rollover Accident in Dickinson County Kills One
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Alcohol and excessive speed are being considered factors in a single-vehicle rollover accident early yesterday morning in Dickinson County that claimed the life of one person.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department says 46-year-old Scott Curren of Felch was killed in the accident around 3 a.m. central time on Lucas Road near M-96.
Deputies say Curren was northbound on Lucas Road when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and went into the ditch. The vehicle then struck some trees and rolled over, coming to rest on the driver’s side. Curren died in the accident, but three passengers, two women and one man, were able to get out of the vehicle and were treated for injuries on the scene and were released.
Deputies say no one was wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident. The accident is still under investigation.
