MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney will review the case against a seventh grade student at a Menominee County school who was arrested this week for possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
The Menominee County Sheriff says the incident occurred Wednesday at the Carney-Nadeau School. Authorities received a call from the school that a student had brought a knife to school and said he was going to kill another student.
School staff located the 7th Grade student and secured him in an office and found the knife, which was a butcher knife with a blade measuring nearly eight inches, it was locked in another office.
Investigation into the incident is continuing.
