Iron Mountain post State Police responded to a two-semi truck accident MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post say an accident involving two semi trucks at the intersection of US-141 and US-2 in Breitung Township in Dickinson County yesterday morning closed down the intersection for about three hours.

The accident happened just after noon central time when a semi pulling a fuel tanker from Klemm Trucking, driven by 51-year-old Todd Vicent of Abrams, Wisconsin, was traveling north on US-141 and entered the intersection. The semi truck was struck by an eastbound semi from Gunville Trucking driven by 36 year old Bradley Hawes of Vulcan. That semi was unable to stop for the red light at the intersection.

Both drivers were taken to the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.  There was a considerable amount of fuel spilled at the scene as a result of the crash, which took several hours to clean up.

    The accident remains under investigation.
