Inmate Beaten to Death in Gogebic County Prison
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An inmate at a state prison in the western Upper Peninsula was beaten to death.
Police say 26-year old Randolph Connor died Saturday after being punched and kicked several times by two other inmates in the prison’s TV room at the minimum security Ojibway Correctional Facility in Gogebic County’s Marenisco Township.
Connor was serving sentences regarding safe breaking, larceny, and home invasion. According to reports, the two prisoners suspected in the beating have been moved to a higher security facility.
