Marquette Man Arrested After Dog Stolen

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette Police arrested a man after investigating the theft of a dog from a residence.

    Officers were called to 540 West Ridge Street just after 5:00 p.m. yesterday on a report of a possible break-in.

    Police were told someone had broken into the home and stolen the victim’s dog.

    The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Willie Joshua-Ray Sims of Marquette.

    Police located Sims and the stolen dog at his residence and he was arrested on an outstanding warrant on unrelated charges.

    Sims has been lodged at the Marquette County Jail as charges of Home Invasion are under review by the Marquette County Prosecutor.
