Mackinac County, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – In the eastern U.P., UPSET detectives arrested one person yesterday on drug and weapons charges.
A 66-year-old man was arrested after a search of a residence on Fish Road in Mackinac County.
Detectives found an illegal marijuana growing operation inside of the residence, and a search located 19 marijuana plants, over three ounces of processed marijuana, and three handguns.
The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a conservation violation and lodged at the Chippewa County Jail.
Marijuana manufacturing and firearms possession charges are under review by the county prosecutor, and the name of the suspect has not been released.
