Bomb Threat in Marquette Township

Police responded to a bomb threat in Marquette TownshipMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)State Police at the Negaunee Post responded to a bomb threat early yesterday at a business in Marquette Township.

The bomb threat was called in just after 1 a.m. at the Days Inn hotel. The suspect also had pulled a fire alarm, causing an evacuation of the hotel guests and staff.

A search of the facility found no explosives or any sign of a fire. Troopers arrested a man and he was admitted to Marquette General Hospital for observation.

The suspect’s name is being withheld as the investigation is continuing.
