MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A State House Committee in Lansing has approved a bill that maintains Michigan’s drunken-driving blood alcohol threshold at .08.
Under the existing law, the threshold would revert back to .10 in October. Sponsors say Michigan roads are safer with the tougher BAC limit. The measure has had little or no opposition in the legislature.
It now goes to the full house for consideration.
