Death of West Branch Township Man Ruled Accidental
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An autopsy was performed yesterday in Marquette as part of the investigation into the death of a Marquette County man.
State Police from the Negaunee Post responding to a report of a missing person complaint found the body of 56-year-old Samuel Longtine of Skandia on Wednesday morning.
They found Longtine’s body outside his pickup truck, which had caught fire and burned, less than a mile from his home on County Road JH in West Branch Township. Police say the investigation found that Longtine was likely plowing snow on his property when his truck caught on fire.
They now believe his death was accidental and no signs of foul play have been found.
