U.P. Man Sentenced In Skandia Car Chase Case

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Michigan man has been sentenced to jail time and probation for a police pursuit in February.

    44-year-old Craig Silta of Trenary was sentenced today in Marquette County Circuit Court to one year in jail and one year of probation.

    Silta received credit for 255 days served as well as a suspended sentence for the remainder of his jail time.

    He plead guilty last month to Assaulting or Resisting a Police Officer.

    Silta was arrested after leading police on a chase after an attempted traffic stop for speeding in Skandia.
