Marquette Public Schools Looking to Renew Millage

Great Lakes Radio NewsMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The Marquette Area Public Schools are seeking to renew their operational millage that expires in 2014.
Proposal A, passed in 1994 and accounting for up to one third of the operating budget, allows school districts to charge up to 18 mills on all non-homestead properties.
The millage will go before the voters in August.
