Stupak Possible Candidate for Governor
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Former US Congressman Bart Stupak is reportedly considering the idea of running for governor next year. But he’s made no final decision yet.
Stupak told reporters last week that he’s “looking at” running. He retired from Congress in 2010. Reports say he is reviewing a number of memos that have been circulated in support of him. He says he will have a decision relatively soon, according to the report.
The Upper Peninsula democrat most recently was named one of six resident fellows at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He’s also been active in Democratic party politics and he is a partner in a Washington DC law firm.
