Stabbing Leaves One Iron River Man Dead, One Behind Bars
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – One Upper Peninsula man is dead and another is behind bars after an alcohol-fueled stabbing over the weekend at an oil field camp in North Dakota.
Reports say 31-year-old Ryan Anderson of Iron River is accused of stabbing 32-year-old Christopher King of Iron River early Sunday morning at the Capital Lodge mancamp.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office says Anderson allegedly used a standard folding knife to stab King twice in the chest and twice in the stomach. Anderson then drove King to a local hospital, where King was pronounced dead and Anderson was apprehended.
He’s being held on a felony murder charge. Bond will be set later this week.
Anderson also is wanted on an arrest warrant out of Iron County for failure to appear on an aggravated assault case.
