Suspects Charged in Alger County Armed Robbery

    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The Michigan State Police Fugitive Team says two suspects have been arrested in connection with a recent armed robbery and home invasion.

    The incident occurred early last Tuesday at a residence on County Road 440 in Alger County’s AuTrain Township.  19-year-old Allen Miron was beaten by armed intruders who broke into his home, attacked and robbed him and stole several items from the residence.

    Troopers say a 29-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from downstate Bay City, were arrested on charges of armed robbery, 1st degree home invasion, unlawful imprisonment and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.

    The man has been extradited to Upper Michigan and is lodged in the Alger County Jail, the woman is expected to be lodged there later today.

    All charges in the case are felonies punishable by up to life in prison and no names are being released at this time.
