Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers says he is disappointed in President Obama’s trip to the Middle East.

The Michigan Republican told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” yesterday that Obama was too vague about America’s position on the violence in Syria. He said the president squandered a great opportunity to actually show leadership and push them in a place where they could either get an agreement or a meeting – they didn’t get it, they just got a speech.

The President committed $200 million in humanitarian aid to help Jordan manage a flood of refugees fleeing violence in war-torn Syria.  He also said his administration is looking into what else can be done to stop the violence and use of chemical weapons.
