Gladstone, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Drivers in Delta County need to use caution around a non-working traffic light on a major thoroughfare near Gladstone.

A traffic accident damaged the light control box at the intersection of US-2 & 41 and M-35 at South Hill Road around 11:15 a.m. yesterday.

Gladstone Public Safety says the accident happened when a westbound vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jesse Herman of Escanaba failed to yield as he was turning left onto South Hill Road from the highway.

Herman’s vehicle crossed into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 39-year-old Kevin Loosa from Rock.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says the light is expected to be repaired in the next few days.
