Marquette County Man Arrested On Drug Charges

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man has been charged in connection with a series of break-ins in Marquette Township.

    The unidentified 26-year-old Champion Township man was arrested Wednesday after a resident called 9-1-1 around 9:00 a.m. to report a suspicious person near an unoccupied home in the Trowbridge area.

    Authorities responding to the scene saw the man riding a bicycle in the area and stopped him.

    He was arrested after some brief questioning and was found to be in possession of items stolen from the home as well as some marijuana, prescription drugs and cocaine.

    The man has been charged with various felony and misdemeanor drug counts and further charges are pending.

    The man confessed to police about other break-ins he had committed in the area.

    His name has not been released and the investigation is continuing.
