Record Snowfall for U.P.

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township says yesterday’s total snowfall has set a total accumulation record for the first time in several years.

Yesterday’s total snow of 2.3 inches has pushed seasonal snow total past 200 inches. This is the first time the season’s snow totals have gone over 200 inches since 2007-2008 season.

The Weather Service adds that drier weather and sunny skies are in place today with breezy conditions with southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph and highs mostly in the 40s with lows tonight.
