Escanaba Teen Will Go To Trial for Armed Robbery

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The jury trial has been set for a Delta County man accused of robbing a gas station attendant at knife-point last January.

19-year-old Marc Allen Grove of Escanaba was arrested on January 20 for the robbery of the Admiral gas station on North Lincoln Road.

Reports say Grove allegedly armed himself with a large hunting knife, wore a mask and then demanded money from a female clerk at the station. After receiving cash, he fled the scene on foot.

Authorities later located him at a residence on the north side of town where he taken into custody. Grove remains lodged in the county jail in lieu of a $150,000 cash bond on felony charges of armed robbery and possession of a controlled substance.

He is scheduled to go to trial in circuit court on June 25.
