Three Vehicle Accident Sends Two to MGH

Great Lakes Radio News UpdatesMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a three-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Marquette Township at the intersection of US-41 and County Road HQ near the Walmart store.

The accident happened around 10 a.m. when a westbound 2001 Mercury, driven by Sandra Borden of Bark River ran a red light and hit a northbound 1997 GMC Jimmy driven by 50-year-old Jeffrey Mauldin of Negaunee.

The Borden vehicle then bounced off of  Mauldin’s vehicle and hit a 1998 Jeep driven by 52-year-old Michelle Signs of Marquette.  Minor injuries were reported by Borden and her daughter and both were taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.

Borden was ticketed for Disregarding a Traffic light.
