Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)A liberal state lawmaker from Ann Arbor will formally introduce legislation today to decriminalize the recreational use of marijuana in Michigan.

State House Democrat Jeff Irwin says his proposal would make the possession of one ounce or less of marijuana a civil infraction rather than a crime. He says there’s growing momentum both in Michigan and nationally, to decriminalize recreational marijuana.
