Michigan’s Unemployment Rate Drops for March
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates declined in all of Michigan’s 17 major labor market areas in March, according to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget.
The Ann Arbor area had the state’s lowest jobless rate last month at 5.1 percent while Northeast Lower Michigan had the highest at 13.1 percent.
The U.P. rate for the period was 9.9 percent while Marquette County had a rate of 7.8 percent.
Michigan seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in March was 8.5 percent.
