Flash Flood Advisorys for Central U.P.

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township has issued a flood advisory due to melting snow in Marquette and Baraga Counties until 9 o’clock tonight.

Minor flooding has been reported across Marquette and Baraga counties and some small roads have been washed out. This minor flooding will continue through today as above normal temperatures melt the remaining snow pack.

A flood warning continues for the Chocolay River near Harvey until late tonight, and a flood watch continues for the Peshekee River near Champion from late tonight to Thursday evening.

A flood warning also continues for the Sturgeon River near Chassell until further notice, and for the Sturgeon River near Alston until Friday morning.
