Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Jamrich Building on NMU Campus

    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Northern Michigan University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new John X. Jamrich Hall tomorrow on campus in Marquette.

    The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. on the west side of the Hedgcock building. NMU President David Haynes and Board of Trustees Chair Garnet Lewis will deliver opening remarks, followed by the groundbreaking.

    The new building is being built between the Hedgcock Facility and the Learning Resources Center. It will house classrooms and four academic offices: criminal justice, English, sociology/social work /anthropology and math/computer science.

    It is scheduled to open in fall 2014. The public is invited to attend.
