MDOT Says Most Roadside Parks Reopen
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Department of Transportation says most U.P. roadside parks reopened today for the season, but some will remain closed another week or so as the last of the snow melts, facilities thaw, and high water recedes.
M-DOT engineers say they always try to reopen roadside parks as early in the spring whenever possible, but this year winter hung on later than usual in some areas.
The parks that will reopen next Monday are in Alger, Luce and Keweenaw counties.
