Iron Mountain Woman Injured in Rollover Accident

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)State Police from the Iron Mountain Post responded to a rollover traffic accident yesterday afternoon on M-95 in Sagola Township that injured one person.

The accident happened just after 4:30 p.m. near Byers Road when a southbound vehicle, driven by 77-year-old Ida Nord of Iron Mountain went to pass a vehicle. Nord then saw that another car was trying to pass her and she overcorrected, losing control of her vehicle. It crossed the centerline, left the roadway and rolled over, pinning her inside.

She was extracted from the vehicle and taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Nord was wearing seatbelt at the time of the crash and there is no word on her condition at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
