MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Additional sexual conduct charges have been filed against the former principal of Munising Baptist School.
35-year-old Benjamin David Franklin II appeared in Alger County District Court in Munising today for a preliminary hearing in connection with his arrest in March on one count of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree.
Reports say two additional charges of third degree CSC have been filed against Franklin. The charges come after he was alleged to have been sexually involved with a female student between the ages of 16 and 18.
Each charge carries a maximum sentence up to 15 years in prison. The case was bound over to circuit court after Franklin waived his preliminary hearing.
Franklin resigned as Principal after the allegations came to light and currently remains free on a $5,000 cash bond.
