Two-Vehicle Accident Kills One, Injures Two

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident yesterday in Marquette County’s Ely Township.

State Police at the Negaunee Post say it happened on US-41 in the passing lanes of the Evergreen Stretch around 10:45 a.m.

A westbound car, driven by 26-year-old Matthew Croschere of Marquette went out of control while attempting to pass a westbound semi.

Croschere’s car crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming SUV driven by 62-year-old Gerald Honeyager of Dousman, Wisconsin.

Croschere was killed in the crash while Honeyager and a passenger, 59-year-old Donna Honeyager, were hospitalized at UP Heath System-Marquette.
