Ontonagon, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Wisconsin man was injured yesterday in a snowmobiling accident in Ontonagon County’s Greenland Township.

Reports say a snowmobile operated by Mark Wasse of Green Bay collided with a vehicle driven by Queen Westerinen of Ontonagon at the intersection of Trail #3 and Aspen Lane around 12:45 yesterday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies say Wasse failed to yield the right of way and Westerinen was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision.

Wasse was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for treatment of a leg injury.

Westerinen was not hurt in the accident.
