Marinette Marine Dedicates New Building

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) Officials with Marinette Marine Corporation dedicated a new 29,000-square-foot ship assembly building at the shipyard yesterday in Marinette, WI.

The new building is part of a $74 million investment at the company focusing on streamlining production and increasing efficiencies.  The new Grand Module Construction facility will be used to weld together sections of large ships, and will allow for year around production regardless of the weather.

The dedication marks the end of the improvement projects made to support the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program
