UPSET Makes Major Arrests in Iron River

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –Detectives with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team are reporting a major drug bust with several arrests in the western U.P.

The investigation centered around the sale of heroin at a residence on 10th Avenue in the City of Iron River. UPSET executed a search warrant at the residence on Tuesday and seized over four grams of heroin, $1600 in cash, marijuana, illegal mushrooms and illegal prescription drugs as well as evidence of drug packaging and distribution.

The owner of the residence, Joseph Baclich, Jr., was arrested on a charge of Delivery of Heroin. Five other people were arrested on a series of charges ranging from Delivery and Use of Heroin to Possession of Marijuana to Delivery of Schedule II and III Drugs.

All six people were arraigned on the charges in Iron County District Court yesterday and UPSET says further charges and arrests are still pending.
