MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation is continuing into the case of a father and son from the eastern U.P. charged with conducting a crime spree and drug operation. Victor McMillan and his 21-year-old son Joshua were arrested earlier this week at a house on South Lake Road near Trout Lake. Chippewa County authorities linked the two men to a series of home invasions near Trout Lake. Stolen items were recovered from the residence including jewelry, a digital camera, food and old coins. During the search, one of the deputies fell through a trap door in the home’s floor and found a marijuana growing operation. The McMillans are charged with Home Invasion, Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Marijuana. They remain lodged in the Chippewa County Jail.
