One Killed, One Injured In Pair Of U.P. Snowmobiling Accidents

Paradise, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a pair of snowmobiling accidents, including one fatality.

The fatal accident happened on Friday morning when 43-year-old Eric Parrish of downstate Lincoln, MI lost control of his machine on a curve on Trail #8 near Paradise and crashed into some trees.

The second accident also happened near Paradise around 3:30 Saturday afternoon when a rider lost control of their machine on Trail #452 and hit a group of trees.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry.

Excessive speed was a factor in the accidents.
