Finnish Sister City Delegates to Visit Marquette

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A group of international visitors are coming to Marquette County this week from Finland.

Delegates from Marquette’s Sister City of Kajaani, Finland, are visiting the region through the 18th.

The Sotkamo Forest Owners will be here to study the forestry practices of the Upper Peninsula to compare with the forest practices of Finland.

The public is invited to welcome the delegation tonight at 9 p.m. at Sawyer International Airport. A welcome reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the Huron Mountain Room at Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
