FinnFest Underway in Copper Country

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)FinnFest USA 2013 in the Houghton Hancock area started up officially yesterday.

The grand tori, or market, opened yesterday afternoon at Michigan Tech’s Student Development Center and opening ceremonies were held yesterday evening at the Rozsa Center on MTU’s campus.

Several events and activities are being held at Tech’s campus, Finlandia University’s Finnish-American Heritage Center and other locations around the Houghton Hancock area.
