MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Governor Rick Snyder says the creation of the Healthy Michigan Medicaid work group in the state Senate it a positive move. Snyder says the establishment of the work group is good progress.
The Governor says he appreciates Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville’s efforts to keep the issue moving forward and he is committed to helping this work group complete its task quickly.
Snyder is also urging the Senate leadership to establish a specific date for a vote on the legislation.
The bill will provide health care coverage for nearly half-a-million more Michigan residents while also encouraging people to take responsibility for making smart choices when it comes to their own health.
