MQT Fire Dep’t Receives Grant

Marquette City Fire Department MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The City of Marquette Fire Department has received a federal grant to assist in various operations.

The $7,200 grant comes through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Fire Prevention and Safety Program.  The program is a part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

These competitive grants will help fund professional training programs, update equipment and facilities, and provide new supplies to help first-responders handle hazards efficiently and effectively.
