Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – One person was injured in a snowmobiling accident yesterday in Houghton County.
The accident happened just after 4:00 p.m. on Trail #3 about a mile north of Twin Lakes.
Reports say a northbound snowmobile, operated by a St. Paul, Minnesota man, went out of control, hit an embankment and struck a tree.
The man, who’s name has not been released, was taken to U.P. Health System-Portage for treatment of leg injuries.
There is no word on his condition at this time.
