Charges Sought in Skandia Rollover Accident
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)
Charges are being sought by the Marquette County Prosecutor against the driver of a car involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident over the weekend.
The accident happened just before 2:30 Saturday afternoon on US-41 in Skandia Township when a southbound 2007 Chevy Cobalt, driven by a 48-year-old Ishpeming man, went out of control, crossed the center line, left the roadway and rolled over several times.
Two adult passengers were unharmed, while the driver was taken to Marquette General for evaluation. The driver, who’s name has not been released, is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
