MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A major road repair project is starting up today in Marquette County.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will be repairing the concrete roadway on 5 miles of US-41 running from the Carp River Bridge to Northwoods Road in Marquette.

This project will require lane closures and traffic shifts. M-DOT says one lane of US-41 will remain open in each direction at all times.

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, August 30th.
