Missing Boy Found Drowned in Escanba

U.P._News_UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Delta County authorities responded to an apparent drowning of a 14-year-old boy in Little Bay de Noc in Escanaba.

Escanaba Public Safety says search and rescue personnel were called out to the north east quadrant of the Ludington Park Marina beach around 5:30 p.m. on the report of the missing boy.

A Coast Guard helicopter was called in from Traverse city to aid in the search and search and rescue crews located the body of the boy around 9:15 last night in the water.

Officials say the boys family was notified and his name is being withheld.  No other information is being released.
